Honest Plugins / Entrepo

Wholesale pricing and Spanish VAT, in one plugin.

A Spanish wholesale store normally needs two plugins: one for B2B pricing, another for the equivalence surcharge and intra-Community VAT — and then needs them to agree with each other. Entrepo is both.

Where Entrepo fits

The market is split in two, and most shops need both halves

This is stated plainly because it is checkable, and because it is the honest reason to choose Entrepo. It is not that the other plugins are bad — they are good at the half they cover.

EntrepoOne plugin, one pricing engine, one place the tax rules live.

Why running two plugins hurts. Both of them want to decide the price a customer sees. A wholesale plugin sets a net price; a tax plugin then applies a rule to it — and the order in which they run decides the total. When it comes out wrong, neither vendor can debug the other's code, and the shop is left between two support desks. In Entrepo the group discount, the exemption and the surcharge are resolved by the same engine, so there is one answer and one place to look.

What price will this customer see, and why?

This is the question the admin panel exists to answer, and it is Entrepo Pro's flagship screen. Change the customer below and watch both the price and the rule that decided it. The tax logic here is the real logic — a €100.00 list price, net of tax.

To be clear. This is a demonstration of the rule engine on this web page, not the plugin running. Real VIES validation happens against the European Commission's service, and Entrepo is built so that a VIES outage never blocks an order.

Specification

What it does, in detail

Built for stores that sell wholesale or B2B — or both B2B and B2C at once — where the wholesale customer must see a net price and the retail customer a price with tax included, and where the Spanish tax regime has to be right on both.

WordPress 6.6+ PHP 8.0+ WooCommerce English · Español Version 0.2.0

Pricing
Unlimited B2B groups, each with its own discount. Net price per role in shop, product page and cart. Per-product and per-variation overrides.
Spanish VAT
Equivalence surcharge, and a one-click configurator that seeds the 21 / 10 / 0 % rates and the surcharge class into your store.
European VAT
Intra-Community reverse charge, and VIES validation that keeps working when the service is down — a VIES outage never blocks an order.
Performance
Prices are precalculated, not computed per request — carts of several hundred lines do not slow the store down.
Registration
B2B sign-up capturing company name, VAT number and country, held for manual admin approval.
Visibility
Hide prices and purchasing from guests, or from everyone who is not an approved B2B customer.
Licensing
When a Pro licence lapses your configured prices keep working. You lose updates and support, not your store.
Uninstall
Deleting the plugin removes its own data, but never the tax records on invoices you already issued, nor the VAT rates it seeded into your store.

Where the limits are. Price hiding covers both the storefront and WooCommerce's public Store API, including the price-range aggregation that filter blocks use. It deliberately does not touch the authenticated wc/v3 API, because that one needs API keys and is how a shop's own ERP or stock sync reads its catalogue — hiding prices there would break real integrations. Store administrators are never affected either.

Free vs Pro

The free build is a working wholesale store

Not a trimmed-down demo with the useful parts removed. You can run a real B2B catalogue on it and never pay. Pro adds the parts that save time, and the automatic VAT handling.

Questions

Answered plainly, including when the answer is no

Two plugins?
Do I still need a separate Spanish tax plugin? No. Entrepo applies the equivalence surcharge, the intra-Community reverse charge and the Spanish VAT rates itself, on the same prices it calculates for each customer group. If you already run a tax plugin, you can keep it — but you do not need it for these rules.
Surcharge
Does Entrepo handle the Spanish recargo de equivalencia? Yes, at 5.2 % on the 21 % rate and 1.4 % on the 10 % rate, itemised separately on the invoice from the VAT. It is applied per customer, because it depends on the buyer's tax regime and not on the product.
VIES
What happens if the VIES service is down? The order goes through. Validation runs in the background with a retry queue, and the proof of the query is saved on the order for an audit. A European Commission outage never blocks a sale — which is also how other serious B2B plugins handle it.
Mixed
Can I sell B2B and B2C from the same WooCommerce shop? Yes. The wholesale customer sees a net price, the retail customer sees a price with tax included, from the same catalogue and the same products.
Catalogue size
Will it slow my shop down with a large catalogue? Prices are precalculated when a product or group is saved, not computed on every page load, so carts with several hundred lines behave the same as small ones.
Expiry
What happens when the Entrepo Pro licence expires? Your groups, prices and tax rules keep working, permanently. You stop receiving updates and support. Nothing switches off and no store breaks.
Outside Spain
Does Entrepo work for a shop outside Spain? Partly, and this is the honest limit. The B2B pricing, price hiding and intra-Community reverse charge work anywhere in the EU. The one-click tax configurator and the equivalence surcharge are Spanish. Connectors for other national regimes are not built.
Free version
What is missing from the free version of Entrepo? Price overrides per product, the customer simulator and automatic VIES validation. Everything else — unlimited groups, net pricing, B2B registration, price hiding, the Spanish VAT configurator — is free permanently and is not a trial.
